Herbal Healing Retreats

SPRING

SUMMER

FALL

Attend one season or all three.

A retreat experience spread out across the seasons,

weaving together herbal wisdom, foraging, gardening,

earth (re)connection, community building, healing & growth.  Our retreats are facilitated in a way which supports individual and collective learning & growing through experiential processes and hands-on-learning.

During each seasonal retreat, we meet in-person for a full-day, every other week (refer to individual retreats for number of gatherings).  Time together is spent in both "active" learning/doing and "passive" quiet/reflective experiencing.

FALL SESSION

Sep 28th - Oct 26th

Every other Saturday

9am - 3pm

As summer transitions to fall, we turn our focus inward.  We gather the last of the harvest and prepare for the cold months of winter.  What can we do, to prepare our body ,mind, heart  and soul for the cold months ahead?

During our fall retreat the focus will be on nervous and immune system balancing.  In western herbal medicine, we turn to adaptogenic herbs, immune modulators and immune stimulators.

There are many ways, at little to no monetary cost, that we can support ourselves in having a healthy nervous system.  We will explore various practices, both out in nature and through meditation, to reduce and off-set the negative effects of stress.

We will work with a few key herbs that are central to both nervous and immune system balance and support.  These include elder, holy basil, common kitchen spices/herbs and medicinal mushrooms.  You will learn several ways for preparing these herbs for your continued use at home.

Saturdays 9am - 3pm

SUMMER SESSION

Every other Saturday

June 15th - July 27th

9:00am - 3:00pm

Come ... be restored through connection with the plants, land and one another.  Healing herbs of field, forest & garden.  We'll explore the abundance of untended wild and cultivated garden spaces.  We'll witness the exponential growth that comes with the longest daylight hours of the year.  We celebrate the gifts of food, medicine and community.

Our journey begins just before the summer solstice.  We'll craft tasty, herbal remedies (food and medicines) for keeping ourselves hydrated, cool and nourished.  We make herbal mocktails and cocktails that are complex, full of flavor and visually stunning.  We engage all of our senses through relaxed wondering, quiet meditation, games / play, and herb craft (harvesting/processing).

Learn practices for quieting the mind of chatter and becoming fully present in your body.

Wild & Weedy Wellness

SPRING SESSION

March 23rd - May 4th

Every other Saturday

9am - 3pm

We've been tasked with a mission!  Our adventures begin at the vernal equinox, and we're going on a foraging expedition through the farm fields and forest.  What will we discover, who might we meet, and what secrets will we uncover?

Our entire spring session has a particular emphasis on foraging.  Foraging 101 - safety, plant identification and communication allows us to connect in meaningful ways with the land, wildlife and plants around us.

We'll work with root, leaf and flower as we move into ethical harvesting.  From there we transform nature's medicine into culinary delights.

We will discuss shared patterns between our own bodies and the living earth and how we might be mutually supported through attuning to the energies and qualities of the season.
